Songbook with 20 pieces from the “Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach”, arranged as duets for chromatic Harmonica and Guitar.
After the death of his first wife, the German composer Johann Sebastian Bach married Anna Magdalena Wilcken in 1721. In 1725, he gave her a valuable music book with a precious cover and gold initials. A collection of pieces by several authors and composers in various manuscripts was probably created in connection with the music-making at home in the large Bach family. The music sheets contained various works, such as simple dance movements, elaborate harpsichord works and also some vocal pieces, which the trained singer Anna Magdalena Bach probably liked to interpret. 20 pieces from this song collection can be found in this songbook.
All pieces are notated in classical musical notation and supplemented with special symbols for the harmonica. PDF files with the internationally known tablature are also available for download for the guitar.
